DHR Presents: "MADE" Friday March 26

Spring is nearly here. I can smell it every time I walk by a little park with stinking mud and recently uncovered doggie presents. And I can feel it in my core, which quivers a little with anticipation every time I gaze longingly at my downhill bike. It is much more patient than I.
But now we can celebrate the coming spring together with a raucous night of bike porn and beer! The first bike movie premiere of 2010 at Cage aux Sports is going down March 26th at 8pm, and you had best be there. British filmmaker Callum Swift, mastermind of “Made,” has put together an excellent retrospective of the historic 2009 UCI downhill world cup series, complete with all the sport’s biggest stars shredding, chilling, winning, and hitting on girls. Distilled downhill adrenaline. Then, Montréal’s very own camera-wielding guru Vincent Allard will premiere his new short film “The Rise”, an Allardian glimpse of the MTB talent hidden on the street and in bikeparks near and far.
So we’ve got downhill madness, we’ve got mindblowing street style, what’s left? How about FREE T-SHIRTS for the first 50 people in line! Get there early to insure you get to rock a “Made: East Coast Premiere” t-shirt so all your friends know just how cool you are. Anything else? Tons of great prizes and onstage antics of course! Liam from Ugly Ass Bikes is hooking us up big time, NEMA Canada is fronting sick gear from Nema, Dean Optics, and even some Freelap Timing kits, Highland Mountain in New Hampshire (the sickest mountain bike park west of Whistler) has promised 10 free passes which we will be giving away in “buddy bunches” of 2, 4, and 4 so you can roadtrip down there with your crew, ABC Cycles donated some very sharp looking team kits, Taz skatepark threw in some passes as well. Then, the crown jewel, the cherry on the ice cream Sunday, the T-bone steak in the dog’s dish: a CUSTOM Dobermann frame, in the color of your choice, will be given away to one lucky premiere spectator! Dobermann comes through for you!
So expect some onstage contests that test your balance and your brain, and be ready to volunteer and cheer on your friends! We encourage bringing all your riding buddies, non-riding buddies, ex-girlfriends and their mothers, and as an incentive, we will be offering discounted entrance fees for large groups!
